NOVA CORE CLASSES AT HOME

All of Nova Core’s Mat Foundation, Mat Intermediate, Mat Amplified & Barre Sculpt classes will be available in studio and online. Technology and wifi connections can be unpredictable. In the unlikely event that a live stream does not work, we will send the recording of the class to you at the end of the class for you to use at your convenience. We will utilize props and accessories during our classes to increase intensity and add variety to our classes. We generally make use of the following props in our classes:

  • Pilates mat

  • 1.5kg dumbbell

  • 1kg ankle weights

  • Pilates ring

  • Yoga block 

  • Loop resistance band

  • Long resistance band

  • Pilates ball (20-25cm)

  • Chair 

  • 6kg weighted beam

  • Big ball (55cm)

  • Foam roller

  • Sliders

  • Barre


Here are easy substitutions you can use at home if you don’t have these props:

 

  • Pilates Mat - beach towel or carpet.

  • Dumbbell - canned food or water bottles.

  • Pilates ring - small firm pillow 

  • Pilates ball - small firm pillow

  • Resistance bands - stockings

  • Weighted beam - broom/stick or dumbbells.

  • Yoga block - small firm pillow

  • Sliders - dish cloth or plastic plates
